Something strange is happening on the fake page, and I should probably explain it properly.
A quick recap for anyone who missed it: latestage.app/fake is the exact generator behind Late Stage Archetypes with the safety off. It prints counterfeit archetypes — 4.2 billion possible, every one watermarked, every one worthless. You can roll them all day. Nobody can stop you.
Then I decided counterfeiting should pay, and now there's a whole underground economy running:
How it works:
Roll a fake you like. Wear it as your X PFP.
Register your handle + wallet on the page.
Your registration rank sets your mint price on drop day:
The first 50 verified counterfeiters mint the real thing FREE. After that, the forger rate climbs every 50 registrations — 0.001 → 0.002 → 0.003 → 0.004 — until it settles at half price (0.005 ETH). The live rate is on the page, with a progress bar creeping toward the next hike. As I write this, 140+ wallets have registered and the rate is at 0.002.
The verified part matters. Airdrop bots found the page within hours (genuinely flattering) and stuffed the list. So: every registration gets checked. I render the exact fake you registered — every fake has a permanent seed, and yes, the archive can regenerate any of its 4.2 billion counterfeits on demand — and compare it against the PFP actually on your profile. Wearing it? You're in. Not wearing it? Purged. You keep ordinary allowlist access at full WL price, but the discount goes to someone real — everyone behind you moves up a rank, and sometimes the whole rate drops a step. There's a CHECK MY RANK button on the page; purges only ever improve your number.
Right now the gap is embarrassing: 140+ registered, roughly 17 actually wearing the fake. Which means the free 50 is still very winnable for anyone who acts like a genuine forger for a month.
Registration closes August 14. Then the list gets sealed with everything else.
